vision
we aim to create a green space that centers arts-healing experience open to all residents in New Haven. Set to be home to a new sustainable arts flex space, HAP will serve to both amplify stories of communities most impacted by the pandemic and to support local artists through commissioned exhibitions and programming.
mission
HAP’s mission is to further New Haven’s creative economy by establishing a platform that publicly engages the local arts as a tool for collective healing and space-making in a transitory post-pandemic economy. The location and program is guided by our socioeconomic research to ensure residents have a stake in their public space and artists are at the forefront of a growing local arts-economy. Our Community Advisory Board of local stakeholders and residents engages in park design and local programming decisions.
